Age 82, of Summit Township he was the son of the late Leo Dahlkemper and Barbara Waldinger Dahlkemper. Paul graduated from Academy High School with the class of 1949. He began a career as an industrial engineer with AMSCO (Steris), retiring in 1993, after 35 years of service. As a member of All Saints Parish, he served on the planning committee and as a Eucharistic minister. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Paul was stationed in Korea from 1952-1953.

He was preceded in death by his son, Paul L. Dahlkemper Jr. in 2010, and a brother, Cyril E. Dahlkemper.

Paul is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Norma Jean Hanlin Dahlkemper, whom he married on July 12, 1952, four daughters: Marilyn Niebauer, husband Martin of Erie; Carolyn Monocello, husband Mark of Millcreek; Kathryn Lawrence, husband James of Waterford; and Jacklyn Gausman, husband Joseph of Erie; a son, Dr. Patrick E. Dahlkemper of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Lori Dahlkemper of Waterford; a sister, Barbara Schreiber of Erie; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in McKean.
