She had two brothers & six sisters. Her youngest sibling was 18 years younger. Her father was a farmer in Brown County, Ohio. By day he cleared fields of brush, and at night he and his wife burned the scrub that he had cleared, while Lottie & her older sister Lou watched their younger siblings. During the Civil War her father helped care for the children of one of his brothers who was off fighting. In 1892 at the age of 36 Lottie married Charles A. Bingaman. They had four children: Roy, James, Raymond & Earl.
She shares a headstone with her husband, Charles A. Bingaman.
Burial was on 12 February 1934.
