Erected to the memory of ROBERT THAIN, Farmer, Bow of Ballenshoe, parish of Kirriemuir born at Bal__irrie in the United Parish of Eassie & Nevay 22 November 1764 died Monday 13 August 1836. His remains were interred here the 18th of the same month. This monument was erected by Ann Mathew his spouse as last tribute of her conjugal affection and regard.
