Note: He entered the Revolutionary army at the age of 15, was a sergeant in Jackson's regiment, was almost constantly on duty during the war, was at the taking of Stony Point, the battles of Bennington, Monmouth, and at the surrender of Burgoyne at Stony Point, the battl es of Bennington, Monmouth, and at the surren er of Burgoyne at the close of the war.
