Jonathan "Jordan" James, 62, of Aurora, IN (formerly of Switzerland County), passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Tuesday, June 5,1951 in Rising Sun, IN, son of the late Archie James and the late Pansy Mae Bailey James.

He worked as a Sales Associate for Wal-Mart, retiring after over 20 years of service.

Jordan enjoyed making crafts, especially floral arrangements. He often helped friends by making cemetery pieces. He was an excellent cook, loved music, he had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed playing the piano.

In his early years Jordan enjoyed flowers and gardening. He especially enjoyed going to the theatre, visiting the Arnoff Center and Playhouse in the Park. Jordan was a jovial positive person, his bright smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are life-long Friend, Clyde Knigga of Aurora, IN; aunt, Jennie (Larry) Turner of Florence, KY; several nieces & nephews( who looked to Jordan as a father figure), Sue & Redd Cunningham, Roseann Owens, Carl, Fred, Darrell Henderson and Stephen, & Debbie James and (all of Patriot, IN); niece, Wilma Ollman of Florence, Anna Henderson & Robert Henderson of Vevay, IN; nephew, Denver Henderson of Independence, KY, and niece, Teresa & Don Kolas of Fairfield, OH and Donald Henderson of Madison, IN.

He was preceded in death by brother, Denver Earl James, and sister, Helen Louise James Henderson.

Friends will be received 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2014, at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Friday, April 25, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in the Cedar Hedge Cemetery, Rising Sun, IN.
