James A. Curl, of Carmichaels, while on a visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Martin, near Masontown, Pa., died Sunday morning June 16, aged 72 years. Mr. Curl was a son of Thomas and Mary Jane Flenniken Curl, and was born in Cumberland township, August 7, 1845. He was a lover of fine horses. Beside his wife, Mrs. Eliza Collins Curl, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emma Myers of McDonald and Miss Alice Curl, at home; also two grandchildren, Allen and Isabelle Myers; and the following brothers and sisters: John Curl of Gardener, Montana; George Curl of Germantown, Ohio; Mrs. Gangragie of Layton, Ohio. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the home of Fremont Flenniken of Carmichaels, conducted by the Rev. John C. McMinn of Jefferson. Interment in the Laurel Point Cemetery.
