Bountiful-- Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and good friend, Richard A. Winter, died June 2, 1985 at Lakeview Hospital. He was a gentle man and a gentleman and will be missed greatly.
Born August 19, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah, so of James P. and Kate Merle Nichols Winter. He married Alma Rock, Dec. 6, 1941. She died April of 1973. Married Yvonne Price Sept. 16, 1978, in Bountiful, Utah. Marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple October 12, 1979. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the European-African Middle Eastern Theater. He was an active high priest in the Bountiful 31st Ward.
He is survived by his wife of Bountiful, children, Sandra Kearney, Richard A. Jr., and Karla Kirkland, all Salt Lake City; step-daughters, Dianne Thomas, West Jordan, Jolene Tinkey, Couer d' Alene, Idaho; 11 grandchildren, brothers and sisters Aaron Winter, Castro Valley, Calif., Wayne Winter, Broomfield, Colorado, Verna Allen, Salt Lake City; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, Wednesday, June 5, 1985 at 1:00pm in the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary Chapel. 295 N. Main, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8:00pm and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park under direction of Russon Brothers.
