Verna was born June 7, 1926 in Salt Lake City to James P. Winter and Katie Merle Nichols Winter. She married Elden W. (Bill) Allen June 22, 1947.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and held many positions, but especially loved working in Primary. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of her eight children. She truly was the heart of a happy family.
SHE WILL BE MISSED DEARLY.
Survived by husband, Elden; children, Donald R. (Linda); LaMont (Judy); Dale W. (Deanna); Ken J. (Marsha); Janice (Jim) England; Galyne (Gary) Olsen; Bryan L. (Linda); Colleen (Darrell) Aubrey; brother, Wayne Winter (LaDessa); 36 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 15, 1995 at 11 a.m, Murraydale Ward, 6300 South 300 East, where friends may call on Thursday evening, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Funeral directors, Memorial Estates.
