GEORGE MASSINGALE, 108 years old, died Saturday night at the residence of his daughter, 1013 Broadway. Massingale came to Texas 98 years ago when it was a province belonging to the Mexican Empire. He later witnessed the War for Independence and the Annexation of Texas into the United States

GEORGE MASSINGALE and his son, McDuff "Mack" Massingale are referred to as Ethiopian on some documents
When George Massingale came to the region, the Constitution of Coahuila and Texas was the law of the land
