Margaret Bogle, 96, of Overland Park, KS passed away April 27, 2014. Visitation will be 9:30am, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Overland Park Christian Church, 7600 W. 75th St, Overland Park, KS 66204, followed by funeral services at 10:30am. Burial will be in Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Overland Park Christian Church Congregational Care.
Margaret was born in Hopkins, MO on July 12, 1917. She attended Hopkins Public Schools. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Northwest Missouri State Teacher's College (now Northwest Missouri State University) in Maryville and a Master's Degree in special education from the University of Kansas. She was a long time 1st grade teacher at Somerset Elementary in Shawnee Mission Schools. She was passionate about the children she taught, and thru the years some of her students stayed in touch with her. Margaret was a long time member of Overland Park Christian Church, PEO, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Overland Park Lioness.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Carl Bogle. Survivors include her niece, Sue Bacon (Kent); nephew, Dr. Al Hanna (Reca); great nieces, Pam Ingraham and Lynn Hizer; great nephews, Reggie Hanna and Steve Hanna; and many great, great nieces and nephews.
