In the same year she first appeared in London in 'The Sleeping Beauty' or 'La Belle au bois dormant' by Aumer. She had a huge success in 'Le Diable boiteux' as Florinda at Drury Lane. She was a great favourite with audiences due to her beautiful technique and delicate beauty. Her career was badly affected by a disastrous love affair and she retired in 1837 and married an English banker a few years later. Those who saw her considered her to be a great actress and sincere interpretive artist as well a stunning dancer. She was said to contend with both Elssler and Taglioni.
