A former Jackson County resident, LILLIAN C. PROKES of Mankato, died Wednesday, January 12, 1994 at her home. Services were held January 17, 1994 at Saints Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Mankato, with the Rev. Francis Prokes, S. J, officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.

Mrs. Prokes was born November 27, 1894 to Leo and Anne Dostal in Worth County, Iowa. The family made their home in Jackson County, for 37 years. She had lived in Mankato since 1949.

She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Mankato and a former member of the Legion of Mary and Winona Council of Catholic Women.

She is survived by one son, Father Francis Prokes, S. J, of the Wisconsin Province of Jesuits; five daughters, Helen Prokes of Mankato; Mother Dorothy, F. S. E., of Pocatello, Idaho; Mother Stephen, O. S. B. of Bethlehem, Connecticut; Sister Mary Timothy, F. S. E., of Gaithersburg, Maryland and Sister Adeline, S. M., of Mankato; two sisters: Adeline Voda of Mankato and Augusta Donwen of Jackson and several nieces and nephews.
