FRANK BROOKS DIES SUDDENLY
Joseph Franklin Brooks, one of the pioneer butchers of the Lodi district, was found dead in his bead at 208 West Pine street yesterday morning about 11 o'clock. Indications were that he had died some time Sunday night. He was last seen about the place Sunday evening about 5 o'clock. He had been in failing health for some time, but had been up and around most of the time. He was a native of California aged 55 years.
Deceased was the son of Mrs. Sara Devon, father of Harry A. Brooks, Carson City, Nev., brother of William Brooks, Mrs. Myrtle Hudson, Mrs. Flora Blakesley, Lodi; Mrs. Laura Lahman, Oakland; John C. Brooks, Los Angeles.
