Bae Barr, 86, of Metz, WV died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the home of his daughter in Clairington, OH.
He was born November 22, 1927 at Coburn, a son of the late John W. Barr and Mary Isabella Utt Barr.
Mr. Barr was a retired foreman from Ormet.
He was a United States Army veteran.
Bae was a member of the Thomas Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons and their spouses, Kenneth & Debbie Barr of Paden City and Bobby and Kathleen Barr of New Martinsville; one daughter and her spouse, Diann and Ray Schnegg of Clairington, OH; five brothers, Buck Barr of Coburn, Slick Barr of New Cumberland, Don Barr of Rachel, Ray Barr of Buckhannon, and Archie Barr of Pine Grove; six grandchildren, Sara Jackson, Shawna Fisher, Jay Barr, Tim Barr, Josh Miller, and Jason Schnegg; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Barr was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruby Barr who died on September 29, 2006; four sisters, Marge Efaw, Daye Parks, Helen Rice, and Artie Efaw; and one brother, Vernon Barr.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 PM Sunday with Rev. Elizabeth Carson officiating. Interment will follow in the Yost Cemetery near Hundred.
