Robert Walker was the 4th and youngest son of Harry Walker and Mary Sarah Banks of Lachine Quebec. His three older brothers, Donald, Jack and Archie were in the Canadian Forces along with his brother-in-law Lucien Theriault. "Bobby" (Robert) wanted to be like them, he'd just turned 18 on October 4th 1943 and his mother could no longer stop him from enlisting.
Robert was killed on April 1st. 1945, on Easter Sunday. Only weeks before the end of the war. The news crushed his family and he was mourned every April 1st thereafter by his mother (his father had passed away on July 5th 1938), his brothers and his two sisters Enid and Mary ("Betty"). He was always loved, and never forgotten. He has two nephews named after him. His sister Mary is sending me some added info to add to his bio, I wasn't born until 1948 and didn't know my Uncle. I am Enid's daughter, his older brothers and his older sister Enid have all passed away. He leaves behind many, many nephews & nieces.
