Iola Mikesell Auen, 65, Blairsville RD4, died Friday, Feb 15, 1991, at her residence. The daughter of Augustus B. and Lucretia Mahan Mikesell, she was born April 12, 1925, in Blacklick Township.
A 1941 graduate of Saltsburg High School, Mrs. Auen attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Blairsville, and was a member of Blairsville Chapter 166, OES. She was employed at Torrance State Hospital, retiring in 1989.
Surviving are her husband, Gene Auen; two sons; Donald G. and Dean K., both of Blairsville RD4; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Daryl) Seitz, Pittsburgh; one grandson; one sister, Mrs. Carl (Annabell) Auen, Blairsville.
She was preceded in death by one son, David O., in 1968; her parents; one brother, Glenn Lewis; one sister, Gladys Short.
