Alvin H. Krahn, 77, Rt. 2, Brillion, died Friday at a Chilton hospital following a lingering illness.
He was born Nov. 16, 1907, in Morrison. He was the son of the late August and Alvina (Koch) Krahn. He married Elsie Sitzman June 10, 1937, at Shirley.
He farmed in the town of Maple Grove until retiring in 1971. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion, a former member of the Town Board of Maple Grove and a former member of the Kasson School Board.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie; three daughters and sons-in-law,
Dorothy and Edward Borchardt, Rt. 2, Greenleaf,
Karen and Gerald Kiekhaefer, Rt. 3, Denmark,
Carol and Gene Obry, Green Bay; two sons and daughters-in-law,
Howard and JoAnn, Brillion,
Roger and Judith, Rt. 2, Brillion;
11 grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert, De Pere, and Rudolph, Rt. 2, Brillion.
He was preceded by one daughter; one sister and two brothers.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, after 4 p.m. today and until 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Visitation also at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion, Sunday from noon until the hour of service. Funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at the church with the Rev. Terry Deters officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
