Beasley , Ruth, 92, born in Lawrence Furnace, Ohio, passed away March 13, 2007 at her home. Ruth was a resident of Fort Lauderdale for 47 years.She was a Registered Nurse, having graduated from nurses' training at Portsmouth General Hospital, Ohio, in 1937. She practiced nursing in Portsmouth and Dayton, Ohio, as well as Fort Lauderdale. She was a long time member of Christ Lutheran Church, Fort Lauderdale. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, George A. Beasley, as well as their son, George A. Beasley, Jr. and his wife, Judith E. Beasley, of Atlanta; daughter, Elaine M. Beasley-Goodloe and her husband, John M. Goodloe, of Fort Lauderdale and New Smyrna Beach; grandsons, Cameron Beasley and his wife, Rita; Morgan Beasley and his wife, Angela; great-grandsons, Connor and Aidan Beasley; all of Atlanta. There will be a visitation on Monday, March 19th, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., and at 11:00 a.m., The Reverend Ronald Springer of Christ Lutheran Church will conduct the funeral service at Fairchild Funeral Home, 299 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale (954-763-4488). Burial will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Gardens, 2001 Southwest Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.
