Billy Ray "Scottie" Wilson, son of John Jewitt and Vinnie Pharr Wilson was born November 27, 1935. He was the great grandson of Revered Alex Anderson, founder of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Billy Ray answered Heaven's call and transitioned to his Heavenly home on Saturday, May 3, 2014 while hospitalized at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, North Carolina.

He was employed for many years with Piedmont Grading and National Jones Grading Company. His last place of employment was as an X-Change Driver for Dr. Jazz Detailing Shop, a job in which he cherished deeply.

He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Willie Wilson, Johnny Wilson, Hurdle Wilson and Ernest Wilson and five sisters, Robeana Wilson, Ida Wilson Barringer, Odessa Wilson Gabriel, Alberta Wilson Alexander and Annie Lou Wilson Davidson.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, one daughter, Gloria Robinson and one son, Larry Stinson, two grandsons, Jurhon Robinson, and Jamal Robinson, and a great grand-daughter, Jurhona Robinson; also two sisters, Mazella Wilson Graham and Louise Wilson Connor, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
