Mrs. Joseph Stedl, Sr., 77, of Menchalsville, Rt. 2, Cato, died Saturday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Saur Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Very Rev. Msg. Alfred A. Schneider will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Stedl nee Anna Brey, was born Feb. 8, 1896, in the Town of Franklin, daugher of the late Michael and Augusta Raalz Brey. She was married to Joseph Stedl Oct. 7, 1913 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The couple operated the Stedl homestead farm, Town of Franklin, retiring in 1948. She was a member of the Menchalsville Sewing Club. Mr. and Mrs. Stedl would have observed their 60th wedding Anniversary in October of this year.

Survivors include her husband, five sons, Walter of Whitelaw, Joseph and Clarence of Menchalsville, Victor of Little Chute and Michael at home; six daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Florence) Podrabsky and Mrs. Melvin (Gertrude) Rivest of Manitowoc, Mrs. Ernest (Marie) Guex and Mrs. Robert (Helen) Princl of Mishicot, Mrs. Clara Kath of Miami Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Earl (Bernice) Keehan of Maribel; four brothers, Michael and Quirren of Rt. 1, Whitlaw, John of Rt. 2, Cato, and Edward of Connecticut; four sisters, Mrs. John (Clara) Wolff, of Milwaukee, Mrs. Augusta Kregel of Sheboygan, Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Seigworth, of Little Sturgeon and Mrs. Theodore (Amanda) Knoblock, of Detroit; 26 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
