Born September 17, 1897 in Maybeury, he was the son of the late Edmund and Amanda Houck Bailey.
He was a retired miner.
Surviving are one son, Edward Preston Bailey of Falls Mills, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Oral Lamustus of Danville, Va. and Mrs. Shirley Sturges of Portsmouth, Va.; three brothers, Ellis J. Bailey of Falls Mills, Bill Bailey and Edward Bailey, both of Bramwell; one sister, Mrs. Vane (Audrea) Anderson of Merigold, Ms.
He was preceded in death Tuesday by a sister, Miss Nora Bailey.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Graham Funeral Chapel, Bluefield, Va. with Rev.Barney Pitsinger officiating.
Burial will be in Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield-Tazewell Road.
Pallbearers: Randy Tabor, James W. Lawrence, Raymond Tabor, Robert Buckland, L. W. Buckland, Larry Sarver, Walter Hall and George Lawrence.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
