Castle Creek: Norma J. (Silvernail) Allen, 76, passed into the arms of the Lord on February 23, 2012 at Wilson Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, LaVerne Allen; her son Stanley Allen; her daughter-in-law, Eleanor Allen; her brother, Marshall Silvernail; and her sister, Jacqueline Balbuena. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David R. Allen, Randall L. and Esther Allen, Daniel J. and RuthAnn Allen, Gordon E. and Diane Allen, and Kenneth A. Allen; her daughters and sons-in-law, Laura L. and Robert Gorman, and Bonnie L. Ailport; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Jessica; nieces, nephews; and her brother, Victor Silvernail. Norma will be missed by everyone who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson with Rev. William Puckey, pastor of Hawleyton United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Milford Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
