From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Saturday, December 17, 1910, p. 2:

Mrs. J. F. Shahan, 38, died at the family residence, 306 Pecan street, Friday night. Mrs. Shahan is survived by the husband and three daughters, Miss Jennie, Miss Maud and Miss Otis Shahan, all of Fort Worth. The funeral was conducted from the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
