Ralph was born in Pike County, Kentucky to Hupper and Susie (Endicott) Prater. He grew up in rutal Coshocton County and graduated from Plainfield High School in 1959. He married Wilma Donley in 1965. He served in the U.S.Navy 1959 - 1961. He was the owner and operator of a Roadside Market in Adams Mills for many years. He had many loyal customers. His wife and his son Zach will continue to operate this family business.
