Altergott
Alexander Altergott, 66, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Loren Schaller officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Cemetery, Town of Kossuth.

He was born May 11, 1896, in Russia, son of the late Godfried and Dorothy Wiegel Altergott and came to the United States at the age of 18. He married Emily Eurich Oct. 29, 1916, at Saginaw, Mich. Mr. Altergott was employed as a cabinet maker for many years at Burger Boat Co., Manitowoc, prior to his retirement in April of this year. He was a member of the male choir of his church for many years.

Among survivors are his wife; one son, Otto, of Two Rivers; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Adelia) Augustine of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Edgar (Emily) Schultz of Two Rivers; a brother, Henry, of Chicago, three sisters, Mrs. Adam Kaufman, Mrs. Henry Aschenbrenner and Mrs. Casper Seibl of Manitowoc and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until 10:30 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until time of services.
