Mrs. Minnie Reedy Was Buried Monday
Mrs. Minnie Bennett Reedy, formerly a resident of Mesquite died at at her home in Dallas, Monday morning, November 19, at 12:20 o'clock.
Mrs. Reedy was born at Mesquite on November 24, 1877, and part of her life was spent in this community. She joined the Missionary Baptist church at the age of 13 years and lived a devout Christian life. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her.
Surviving her are two sons and two daughters, as follows; Mrs. Ray Purnell of Fort Worth, W. C. Reedy of St. Jo, Mrs. Frank Rainwater and F. W. Reedy, Jr. of Dallas. She is also survived by five grandchildren, one brother and three sisters, as follows; J. M. Bennett of Mesquite, Mrs. M M. Coats of Dallas, Mrs. M. C. Snyder of Mesquite, and Mrs. W. A. Yates of Long Creek.
Funeral services were held at the Mesquite Baptist church Monday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock conducted by Rev. T. B. Jenkins. Interment took place at the Long Creek cemetery.
The sorrowing children and other bereaved ones, have the profound sympathy of all in their great loss.
