Alfred Skjeret was born July 12 1929, the son of Alfred and Helen (Jonasen) Skjeret, in Hannaford, where he attended school. He married Fern Lausch on June 4, 1955, in Dazey, N.D. They lived and farmed in the Hannaford-Dazey area. He is survived by his wife; sons, Rodney (Denise), and Bradley; daughters, Vickie (Greg) Mueller, and Linda Hollinshead; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; his mother; sisters, Audrey Ouren, Vivian Goplen, Myrna Thompson, and Connie Louden; and a brother, Loren.
Services: 10:30 a.m. today in St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Walum, N.D.
Visitation: One hour before services in the church.
Burial: St. Olaf Cemetery Quam-Plaisted-Cushman, Cooperstown).
