JOHN SIEVERT, 70 YEARS OLD, GETS SUMMONS
Director of Sacred Heart Choir For Number of Years, Dies At Residence Tuesday John Sievert, Sr., 70, prominent in Two Rivers musical circles, died at his home, 1516-23rd street, at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The body was removed from the Leschke funeral home in Manitowoc to the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home in Two Rivers this afternoon, where it may be viewed until Friday afternoon. The body will be taken to the residence Friday afternoon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart church. The Rev. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.

Mr. Sievert was director of the Sacred Heart church choir for a number of years. For many years he was a member of the Liederpaasel, German singing society, and was an old-time fiddler of wide reputation. He was one of the original members of the Fiddlers' orchestra. He was an employe of the old Rand Pail factory and in more recent years worked for the Hamilton Manufacturing company.

Mr. Sievert was born Jan. 1, 1865 in Germany and was two weeks old when his parents brought him to America. They settled in the town of Newton. Forty-seven years ago he married Tecla Bonk and they established a home in Two Rivers.

Survivors are the widow and ten children, Mrs. August Gloe, Manitowoc; Mrs. Melvin Goodchild and Max of Two Rivers; Mrs. Harry Beck and Mrs. Leo Vergin, Milwaukee; Adeline, Pauline, Eleanor, John Jr. and Edwin at home; one brother, Walter of Newton; and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Stefaniak and Mrs. Edward Rhode, Newton, and Mrs. Valentine Malicki, Chicago.
