Roscoe Warner, 88, of Bluffton, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Warner had lived in Bluffton since 1985 when he joined A.T. Ferrel as vice president of marketing.
In his retirement years, Roscoe worked for Bi-County Services and was very active at Grace Baptist Church in the Awana program.
For the past six years, he was a member of Hope Missionary Church.
He was born on Nov. 2, 1925 in Oak Park, Illinois, to Virgil and Ruth (Burres) Warner.
Roscoe married Helen (Kerkow) Warner on Oct. 4, 1945. She preceded him in death on Sept. 8, 1986.
On Dec. 2, 1989, he married Sue May Warner at the Grace Baptist Church. She survives in Bluffton.
Other survivors include five children, Roxanne (William "Bill") Abel of San Diego, California, Roscoe (Virginia) Warner of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Rosemary (David) Smith of Torremolinos, Spain, Charlotte (Craig) Davidson of Garland, Texas, and Chester (Elaine) Warner of Norman, Oklahoma. Also surviving are four step-children, Tony McClintic of Beloit, Wisconsin, Vickie McClintic of Chicago, Illinois, Gregory McClintic of Florida and Brian McClintic of Lovespark, Illinois.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Will, Sierra, Michael, Jonathan, Caroline, Angela, Daniel and Kayla, plus four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors are a brother, Sidney Warner in Missouri, a sister, Ann Purdy in Virginia and a brother, Russell Warner in Missouri.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Marion McWherter, and two brothers, Paul Warner and Roger Warner.
Calling hours at Thoma/Rich Lemler Funeral Home will be Friday, May 30 from 3 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the funeral home. Rev. Gary Aupperle of Hope Missionary Church will officiate at the service.
