Joined a local building firm as a Carpenter

A keen cyclist, Cyclist Touring Club member and local clubs.
Travelled in Europe pre war including as far as Bulgaria where his Passport was stolen.

Called up into the Royal Engineers early in the war and was wounded and taken Prisoner in Greece.

Married after the war of Kathleen Mary ESPINER and lived in Swanland.

Active in the Royal British Legion, North Ferriby
Member and Umpire Welton Cricket Club
