Alfred Boeder, 73, of 1601 Dewey St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Saturday at home.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church Chapel. The Rev. Bruce Hansteadt will officiate with burial in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Boeder was born Sept. 23, 1902, at Manitowoc, son of the late Robert and Dora Wehausen Boeder. He attended Manitowoc schools and married Grace Kukral Aug. 3, 1929, at Manitowoc, residing here all their lives. He was a licensed plumber working for Nick Levendusky Plumbing, retiring in 1963. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Alfred Jr., of Manitowoc; two daughters, Miss Grace Boeder, at home and Mrs. Gordon (Jean) Alsvig, of rural Marseilles, Ill.; three sisters, Miss Elfrieda Boeder and Mrs. Sophia Knox, of Waukegan, Ill., and Mrs. Dora Dunfrund, of Evanston, Ill., and seven grandchildren. Three brothers preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc after 4 p.m. Sunday until 11:30 a.m. Monday and at the chapel from noon until the time of service.
