FRANK C. BEARD died at his home near Smithsburg at 3:15 o'clock yesterday morning after an illness of four days of cerebral hemorrhage, aged 49 years.
He was a member of the Reformed church, Cavetown.
Besides his widow, Ida, the following children survive: Vaughn K., of New York; George C., Kansas City, Mo.; Rudolph and Gail C., at home; brothers, Hubert Jones, Mason and Dixon; Albert, Polo, Ill.; step-brother, Wilbur, Hagerstown; step-sister, Mrs. Lela Herring; foster mother, Mrs. Calvin Beard, Smithsburg.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, with services at the home at 3 o'clock, Rev. J. S. Hartman officiating. Interment will be made in Smithsburg cemetery.
