MRS. IDA FRY BEARD, widow of Frank C. Beard, died Monday evening at 6 o'clock at her home in Smithsburg, aged 60. Death resulted from complications and followed an illness of six months.
She was born in the Wolfsville section, the daughter of James and Malinda Hayes Fry, and was a member of the Methodist church of Smithsburg.
Surviving are sons, Vaughn, New York; Rudolph and Gail, U. S. Army; sisters, Mrs, Lillian Shepley, Church Hill, Frederick county; Mrs. Edith Gardner, Smithsburg, and brother, Richard I. Fry, Washington, D. C.
The body was removed to the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro, where it may be viewed until Saturday.
Funeral services will be held at the Beard home in Smithsburg at 2:00 p. m. Saturday with the Rev. William A. Miller officiating. Interment in the Smithsburg cemetery.
