FUNERAL HELD at ANNABELLA FOR A.D. NEBEKER

Many Relatives and Friends Attended Impressive Services. Funeral services for A. D. Nebeker who passed away at his home in Annabella June 28, were held in the Annabella ward chapel Friday afternoon, with Bishop Glen W. Thurston in charge. The main assembly room and the entrance hall of the building were crowded with relatives and friends from all parts of Sevier county and many more distant places who came to attend the services. There were many beautiful floral offerings.

Speakers for the occasion, all of whom stressed Mr. Nebeker's fine character traits and service, so well known to his many friends, were Lewis Anderson, president of the Manti temple, Bishop H. F. Roberts, President R. D. Young of the Sevier stake, James R. Ware and John Nordfors of the South Sevier stake presidency and Bishop Glen W. Thurston. Two poems by Mrs. Violet W. Anderson of Richfield, one written to Mr. Nebeker about two months before his death, and one written after he passed away were read by Miss Thelma Jackson.

Musical numbers were three selections by the ward choir directed by E. L. Davis, with Mrs. Emily Giesdorff as accompanist; a vocal solo, "Twill Not Be Long," by Clynn Thurston accompanied by Miss Melba Thurston, and a vocal solo, "Face to Face," by W. S. Daniels, accompanied by Mrs. Roy Gleave.

The invocation was offered by C. L. Winget of Monroe, and the benediction by John L Gleave of Annabella. Interment in the Annabella cemetery where J. O. Simonsen of Salt Lake dedicated the grave.

In respect to Mr. Nebeker's service as a former commissioner of Sevier county, the county commissioners and the district judge were among those in attendance at the services. Among the relatives attending besides the immediate family were Mrs. Lenora Hansen, a sister of Mr. Nebeker and her daughter Norda and son Keith of Elko, Nevada; David and Ray Haun, brothers of Mrs. Nebeker, Mrs. Maggie Hibberd, a sister, and Miss Delia Gardner, an aunt, all of West Jordan.
