GERALDINE (GERRY) N. ALLEN passed into heaven on the 28th day of September, 2008 at her home in Conroe after a long illness.

Gerry was born in 1921, in Kerens, Texas to E. H. Norton and Kate Magee Norton. She grew up in Kerens and graduated Valedictorian of her Kerens High School Class in the spring of 1938. In 1938, Gerry enrolled in Baylor University where she later met and, on February 8, 1941, married the love of her life, Frank W. Allen. She was an honor student at Baylor and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. After marriage, Gerry was employed by Radio Station KPRC in Houston. During the years 1942 to 1946, she worked for various employers wherever she and Frank went on his military duties in the Air Force. After his discharge from the Air Force, she worked for the Gulf Pipeline Company in Houston. In 1967, Gerry moved with her family to Panorama in Conroe, Texas. Later, Gerry became owner and President of Crossroads Spirts, Etc., Inc. and made it a highly successful business for over 20 years until her retirement. Gerry treated all of her customers like family.

She was an active member of the American Business Women's Association. Gerry enjoyed cooking, gardening and, most of all, painting, at which she was extremely talented. She also loved being with her family and friends. All who knew her, loved her. She touched and enriched many lives. Gerry was a Christian all of her life and is a member of the First Baptist Church, Conroe, Texas.

Gerry is survived by her husband, Frank W. Allen; and her beloved children, Frank W. (Bill) Allen, Jr. and wife Vicky Houston Allen and daughter, Allison Allen and Julie Wienke; and many beloved nieces and nephews and their families. Services will be held in Cashner Colonial Chapel in Conroe, Texas on the 1st day of October, 2008 at 10 a.m. Visitation with family will be at Cashner Funeral Home on the 30th of September, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the First Baptist Church, 600 N.
