Of Reston, VA on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Beloved wife of Mike Harper. Loving and devoted mother of David Michael Harper of Oklahoma City, OK and Charles Matthew Harper of Reston, VA. Sister of Randall McDaniel of Oakton, VA. Diana was born on March 4, 1946 in Hampton, VA to the late W.H. and Gladys McDaniel. She retired from the MITRE corporation in 2009 after more than 20 years of service. She also worked with the Bendix Corporation Aerospace division, was a member of the Great Falls Friends and Neighbors (formerly the Great Falls Women's Club), Hidden Creek Country Club in Reston and member of Herndon United Methodist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia and a 1964 graduate of W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, VA. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 8 at ADAMS-GREEN Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon, VA. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Herndon United Methodist Church, 701 Bennett St., Herndon, VA. Interment Chestnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to American Diabetes Association or Virginia Special Olympics.
