This memorial marks the place in Rose Hill Cemetery where the bodies of those buried in the old Bellevue Asylum Cemetery now rest. They were moved and placed in one mass grave in the mid 1900s when the asylum was torn down and replaced with a hospital. The monument wasn't added until years later.
