Ruth “Judy” Joyce Keppler, age 86, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Friday, January 20, 2006. Judy was a lifetime member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Loving Circle, and Goldie Steele’s Art class. She was also a member of the D.A.R; United Daughters of the Confederacy, Republican Women’s Club; T.S.P.E. Auxiliary; An avid genealogist, she wrote two extensive family history books. Judy was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School class of 1937 and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Preceded in death by parents, Amelia Harris Joyce and Lawrence Baxter Joyce, Sr. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jack Keppler; daughters, Martha Ragsdale and her husband, John of Orlando Florida; Barbara Kephart and husband, Gunnar of Dallas, Texas; Judy Green and husband, Paul of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Ragsdale and wife, Laura; Susannah Hurt and husband, Chris, Heather Hendrick and husband, Cole; Alex Kephart and wife, Sabrina; Paul Green and wife, Janiece; and John Green; great grandchildren, Hannah Catherine, Emma Ragsdale, and Thomas Hurt; sisters, Ann Ruby of Austin, Texas and Margaret Gorman of Carmel, California; numerous nieces and nephews; and a family special friend, June Eubank.
