Orlo W Koerth, age 80, of 9 Circle Dr. Brillion, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Mesa Ariz., on Wednesday Jan. 6, 2010.
He was born on Feb. 12, 1929, in the Town of Holland, son of the late Henry and Lora (Greve) Koerth. He married the love of his life, Faith Ziegler, on June 17, 1950, at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion.
Orlo graduated from Brillion High School and attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was active in his church, the dairy industry, and his community. He was always willing to extend a helping hand wherever it was needed. He enjoyed his many winters in the Arizona sunshine and all of his friends there. He was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor,. Above all, he loved and was proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dad, we will always love you, and you will be missed.
Survivors include his children: Deb Koerth, Gary (Alice) Koerth, Joel (Connie) Koerth all of Brillion; special sons: Peter Stroh of Germany; Dean Koropov of Cleveland; his grandchildren: Jason (Michelle) Koerth, Laura (Scott) Treichel, Aaron Koerth, Tyler (Nicole) Koerth; special granddaughter, Mariel (Eric) Guenther; great grandchildren: Caitlin, and Nora Koerth; Riley and Dominic Treichel; three sisters: Meta Krahn of Brillion; Aurella Swanson of Calif.; Janet Kalies of Brillion; two sisters-in-law: Shirley (Ron) Beckett of Okla.; Iris (Ed) Van of Ariz.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Orlo was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Faith on July 3, 2008, two brothers: Alvin and Clarence; and a sister, Ellen Radloff.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Burial will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the church, 105 Horn St Brillion on Wednesday Jan. 13, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. and the again at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
