At the time of his death he was a city employee and lived at 1417 N. 58th street in Los Angeles, Los Angeles county, California. He died at home on 1 October 1919 at 5:30 p.m. His death was due to carcinoma of the larynx. Burial at Calvary Cemetery took place on 3 October 1919.
