DENMARK (PG) – Funeral services for Mrs. Mary T. Finnel, 73, Denmark, Rt. 1, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown. The Rev. Peter Schroeder will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Finnel, the former Mary Keehan, died Wednesday in a Green Bay hospital after a brief illness. She was born March 12, 1884, a daughter of Timothy and Mary Flaherty Keehan in the Town of Maple Grove.
She was married to Samuel Finnel Nov. 5, 1907. They farmed in the Town of New Denmark before retiring and moving to the Village of Denmark in 1949. Mr. Finnel died in 1954. Last April his widow moved back to the homestead farm.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. James Church and of the Altar Society of All Saints Church here.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Clement Heiser, Green Bay; four sons, Donald and James, on the home farm; Francis, Virginia Beach, Va., and Kenneth, Denmark, Rt. 2; four brothers, James and Elmer, Milwaukee, John, Green Bay, and Mike, Denmark; a sister, Mrs. Tom Bradley, Cooperstown, and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at the DeWayne Funeral Home here after 7 o'clock tonight. The Rosary will be said at 8 and 9 o'clock tonight and at 8 p.m. Friday.
