"MOTHER OF WILLIAM HARTRANFT IS DEAD.

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 1. - Mrs. Hetty M. Hartranft a widely known worker in evangelical and foreign missionary work, died at her residence here early today.
She was the widow of the Rev. Charles R. Hartranft of the New Jersey Methodist conference and is the mother of Marshall V. Hartranft of this city, and William G. Hartranft of Phoenix, Arizona.
Mrs. Hartranft has been a resident of this city for twenty years. She has two grandsons, the eldest of whom is now in North China for the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Funeral services will be held from the Gospel Tabernacle on South Hope street, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be at Hollywood cemetery.

Word was received here yesterday of the death of Mrs. Hartranft and her son, William G. Hartranft left last evening for Los Angeles. Mrs. Hartranft had many friends here, having visited her son here on several occasions."
