Robert C. Taicher 86, Denmark passed away Friday August 10, 2001 at a local hospital after a short illness.
He was born on February 10, 1915 in Manitowoc County. He was the son of Robert C. and Lucille (Budweiser) Taicher. He married Libbie V. Krajnek on Nov. 1, 1939. He farmed in the Algoma area for several years before moving to Denmark in 1945. He farmed in the Denmark area before retiring from the farm in 1975. He then worked at Dufeck's Manufacturing In Denmark for 10 years before retirement. He enjoyed time with family, woodworking, flowers and gardening, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
He is survived by his wife Libbie, four sons Robert Jr. (June) Taicher, Green Bay, Allan (Cheryl) Taicher, Gary Taicher and special friend Luann Schlies, and Randall Taicher all of Denmark; 10 grandchildren Kevin (Laurie) Taicher, Kristin (David) Veldhuizen John, and Tom Taicher, Amy (Chad) Anderson, Deanne Taicher, Paul Taicher, and Michael Taicher, Rick Taicher, and Tonia Taicher; six great-grandchildren Danny, Rachel, Chelsea, Cami, Matthew, and Michael, and two sisters, Lorraine Bernier, and Eunice Friedenberger. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Patrick Taicher, two brothers Leonard, and Raymond Taicher, and one sister Evelyn Charney.
Friends called on Monday Aug. 13, 2001 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home. 536 County R., Denmark. Visitation continued on Tuesday Aug. 14, 2001 from 9 am until the time of services at Zion United Methodist Church, Denmark. Funeral services were on Tuesday August 14, 2001 10 a.m. at the church with Pastor Diane Clark officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for perpetual care of the church cemetery.
Robert's family would like to extend a special Thank you to the Staff at Harmony House, and Bellin Hospital Intermediate Care Unit for their kindness and compassion shown.
