Martha I. DeFere, age 82 of 1018 N. 18th Street, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, died May 5, 1988 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Funeral services were Monday at St Joseph Church. Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery of Institute.
She was born in Egg Harbor November 6, 1905 to John and Ida Demmin.
She was a lifetime county resident and a member of the Christian Mothers of St Joseph Catholic Church.
On December 19, 1922, she was married to Peter O. DeFere and he died in 1956.
Surviving are sons Donald and Leonard of Sturgeon Bay; Herbert of Virginia Beach, VA; Orrin of Fremont, CA and Lawrence of Milwaukee, WI;
and a daughter Patricia (Chester) Moeller of Sturgeon Bay;
31 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
