OBIT: Mrs Elizabeth M May, 63 years old, a former resident of White and Scottdale, died at 2.15pm Wednesday afternoon at her home at 511 McKean Avenue, Charleroi, after an illness that had its inception last month.
Mrs May was born at White, Fayette County on 26 May 1875, a daughter of the late Isaac and Minarva Slack White (* Minerva Flack *). For a number of years the family lived at Scottdale and moved 40 years ago to Charleroi where she was affiliated with the First Christian Church.
Mrs May is survived by three children; Earl and Mrs Ray Kiefer of Charleroi and Mrs Alfred Brown of Ford City; one brother, Harry White of Newport, Kentucky; one sister Mrs George Prinkey of Normalville; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday afternoon at the Lawrence B Frye Funeral home with Rev Bryon R Mahan officiating. Interment will be in Monongahela Cemetery.
