Claire Wells Norman, 74, member of Gethsemene Baptist Church, died Friday, June 13, 2014, at her home. The widow of Jere Donald Norman, she leaves a daughter, Lisa Norman of Covington;, sons Jere Keith (Janelle) Norman of Atoka and Brian (Lanea) Norman of Drummonds; sisters Resa Harkness of Munford, Billie Smith of Ripley, and Amy Dickinson of Idaho; brothers Kevin Wells of Drummonds and Tim Wells of Ripley; grandchildren Christopher Adam Norman of Camarillo, CA, Christi Renee Norman of Brighton, Lindsey Claire Wells of Covington, Jamie Liane Stewart of Millington, Haley Brook Norman of Drummonds, and Hope Alyse Norman of Drummonds; three great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Marion David of Covington, and aunt and uncle,Hugh and Peggy Burton of Brownsville. She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild. Visitation will begin Tuesday, June 17, at noon, with funeral services to follow at 2PM, all at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. Interment will be in Halls Cemetery, Halls, Tennessee. The family asks that any memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital, POBox 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
