Franklin G. "Frank" Ness, 87, of Newberrytown, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. He was the husband of Mildred B. (Basye) Ness, to whom he was married for 63 years.
The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the William E. Little Funeral Home, 60 S. Main St., Manchester. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery in Newberry Township. Viewing will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ness was born April 10, 1908, in York County. He was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Heffner) Ness.
He was a self-employed auto dealer in Newberrytown for many years. He was a member of Newberrytown Church of God, Newberrytown Fire Company and York Lodge 148 Loyal Order of Moose.
Mr. Ness also is survived by a son, Raymond E. Ness of York Haven; three daughters, Louise A. Hepfer of York Haven, Ruth M. Fink of Etters and Helen M. Miner of Lewisberry; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Ness was preceded in death by a son, Harold F. Ness.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. David A. Yost.
