100, of Clifton, N.J., passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
The funeral is from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley, N.J., on Monday, June 16, at 8:30 a.m.. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley, at 9:30 a.m., followed by entombment at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield, Essex County, New Jersey 07003. Visitors were received at the funeral home on Sunday, June 15, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.

Born in Italy, Mrs. Servidio lived in Nutley, before moving to Clifton 20 years ago.


Annunziata Servidio of Nutley celebrated her 100th birthday with her family on April 3, 2014. Annunziata was born in Acri, Calabria. Cosenza Province, Italy, the town is built on three hills overlooking the Mucone and Chàlamo rivers on the edge of Sila National Park. World Famous Charles Atlas, Angelo Siciliano (October 30, 1893 – December 23, 1972) was born in Acri, Italy here too. Acri sided with Hannibal and his Elephants against Rome during the Second Punic War it was besieged by the Romans in 203 BC.

She came to the United States in 1964 and settled with her family in Nutley, where she was employed as a seamstress. She was married to the late Angelo Servidio in 1929.

She has four children, Francesca and her husband, Benito Rosa, residing in Argentina, South America; Mike Servidio and his wife, Lina, of Nutley; Damiano Servidio and his wife, Maria of Nutley and Rosa and her husband, Benito Lupo, of Clifton.

She has 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She received a commendation and blessing from the Roman Catholic Church-Vatican Citty, Vatican in celebration of her 100th birthday.
