Alexander (Alex) Doucett, 85, of 2304-13th St., Two Rivers, died Sunday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. David Hansen will officiate with burial in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Doucett was born Jan. 6, 1891, at Tomahawk, son of the late Daniel and Anna Obey Doucett. He was a veteran of World War I. He married Alice Engebretson Nov. 18, 1920, at Superior, residing at Superior until 1932, when the [sic] moved to Two Rivers. He was a retired machinist from Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., retiring in 1957. He was a member of the VFW Post of Two Rivers, Senior Citizens and Machinists Union.

Survivors include his wife, eight daughters, Edward (Lorraine) Brotski, Mrs. Carroll (Joyce) Carle and Mrs. John (Nancy) Anderson, of Two Rivers, Mrs. Johnny (Dorothy) Johnston, of Springfield, Ore., Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Tolksdorf and Mrs. Norman (Patricia) Johnson, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Anthony (Merle) Kleiber, of Charlevoix, Mich., and Mrs. William (Beverly) Hartman, of Ojai, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Dring, Palmdale, Calif., 32 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. An infant son, a brother and three sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, after 4 p.m. Tuesday where a Senior Citizen service will be at 6 p.m. and VFW memorial service at 7 p.m.
