Mrs. Irene Boehmke, 77, formerly of 1325 North 8th Street, Manitowoc, died Friday evening, March 30, at North Riddge Care Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Robert Sladke will officiate with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mrs. Boehmke was born March 26, 1907, at Marinette, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Fred and Melinda LaPean Rohde. She married Hans Hansen Jr., on April 14, 1926, at Two Rivers. She then married Charles Boehmke on September 4, 1948, at Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death July 20, 1953. Mrs. Boehmke worked at Hamilton Industries for many years, retiring in 1972. Mrs. Boehmke was a member of Royal Neighbors and American Legion Auxilary (sic). Survivors include a daughter-in-law, LaVerne Hansen of Two Rivers; grandchildren and spouse, Jan and Linda Yougchild of Manitowoc, Noel and Jean Hansen of Two Rivers and Raymond and Janice Hansen of Two Rivers; great grandchildren, Sherrie and Jack Yougchild of Manitowoc and Eric, Jill and Jeremy Hansen of Two Rivers and a special friend, Irwin Alberts of Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick in 1982 and three sisters, Catherine Belonger, Pearl Meneau and Dorothy Sickler. Friends may call at Klein and Stangel In., Funeral Home, Two Rivers from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Sunday evening where a memorial service will be held at 7 o'clock.

Hans Hanson Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hanson, Lincoln Street and Miss Irene Rhode, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rhode, Eighteenth Street were united in marriage on Wednesday morning at St. Luke's parsonage. Rev. C.V. Hugo performed the ceremony in the presence of Miss Dorothy Rhode,, a sister of the bride and Albert Rippel. After the ceremony a reception was held at the hoe of the bride's parents and dinner and supper was served, covers laid for 40 friends and relatives of the couple. The couple departed in the afternoon on a trip to the central part of the state. Upon their return here they will reside on Eighteenth Street. Both the bride and groom are estimable young people employed in the aluminum industry.
